Kenya's Junior Football Team Dominates Sudan in CECAFA U15 Championships

On Sunday, Kenya's junior football team delivered a convincing 4-0 win over Sudan in their second match of the CECAFA U15 Championships, held in Asmara, Eritrea.

Kevin Wangaya scored a brace in the 12th and 24th minutes, while Joseph Munala netted the third goal in the 27th minute, giving the Junior Stars a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Gil Harel added the fourth goal shortly after resumption, securing a 4-0 win for Kenya.

This victory follows their opening day win over Somalia on Friday, and the team now shifts focus to their third group match against Burundi on Tuesday, before facing hosts Eritrea on Thursday.

The top two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the semis, set to be played on August 28, with the final scheduled for August 30, 2019, in Asmara.

Kenya's starting lineup included Alvin Odari (GK), James Gachago (C), Brian Osoro, Ibrahim Mone, Brian Kamau, Rajab Umar, Kevin Wangaya, Andreas Odhiambo, Joseph Munala, Gil Harel, and Andrew Waliaula.

The substitutes included Kennedy Okumu (GK), Isaac Mugweru, Karl Murugu, Teddy Sirma, Alvin Kasavuli, Robby Mangi, Khamis Nyale, Zein Mwakitawa, and Mike Churchill.
