On Sunday morning, a tragic incident unfolded in Makunga village, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, where a middle-aged man took the lives of his wife and himself.
According to eyewitnesses, the man's actions were sparked by allegations of infidelity, which he confronted his wife about before attacking her with a machete.
The area chief reported that one of the deceased's relatives raised an alarm, drawing the attention of other neighbors who broke into the couple's two-roomed house and found the two dead.
The woman's body was discovered in a pool of blood with deep cuts on the head, while the man had hanged himself.
The bodies were taken to the Kitale County Referral Hospital mortuary for further processing.
