On Saturday, August 18, 2018, Kenyan international midfielder Francis Kahata made a strong impression on his competitive debut for Simba SC in a 4-2 win over Azam in the Tanzanian Community Shield.
According to reports, Kahata joined the Tanzanian giants from Gor Mahia in July 2018 in a transfer deal worth Sh12 million over two years.
With his new club, Kahata seized the opportunity to impress his employers and the passionate fans, scoring the final goal of the match in the 85th minute.
Simba SC's Sudanese forward Eldin Shiboub also scored twice on his debut, while Zambian Cletous 'Triple C' Chama was on the score sheet for the Wekundu wa Msimbazi.
