On August 18, 2019, TECNO announced a new phone in Pakistan, the TECNO Spark Go, which is expected to be priced at KES. 9,000 in Kenya.
The announcement has sparked confusion in the African market, where TECNO is already a leading brand with the Spark series. The last Spark series in Kenya was the Spark 3 series, which consisted of the Spark 3 and the Spark 3 PRO.
It is possible that the TECNO Spark Go will have a different name when it becomes available in the African market. The phone is expected to be a budget-friendly option, with a 6.1-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display, 8MP main camera, and 5MP selfie camera.
The TECNO Spark Go will run on Android 9 Pie with HiOS Skin and will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. It will also feature 2G, 3G, and 4G/LTE connectivity, as well as a 2.4G Wi-Fi and microUSB port.
