Kenyan gospel singer Jimmy Gait has traveled to India for specialized treatment of a throat condition, sparking rumors that he is battling cancer.
However, Gait has dispelled these claims, stating that he has not been diagnosed with cancer and is still undergoing tests.
"I would like to highlight something that I have noticed on social media, that I have come here (India) for cancer treatment and that I have throat cancer. I don’t know where that came from," said Gait.
He appealed to those spreading the rumors to desist, as it is affecting his family and he is still waiting for the test results.
"I’m waiting for the results and I am trusting God that I will get a good report," Gait continued. "It’s not easy what I’m going through but I trust and believe that God will come through for me."
It is worth noting that Gait had previously revealed that he was battling a strange throat condition for the past three months and would be undergoing surgery in India.
