On August 26, 2018, Kululu Atsiaya, a renowned author, musician, and motivational speaker, visited the Dallas, Texas Rotary club to promote his new book, 'The Corrosive Gulley.'
Published on August 26, 2018, 'The Corrosive Gulley' offers a unique perspective on corruption as a way of life in Kenya. The book is a follow-up to his autobiography, 'Finding the Lotus from within,' which chronicles his childhood in the slums of Nairobi.
With a background in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Utah, Kululu has also been involved in political activism in Kenya, which led to a life-threatening situation during the 2017 repeat presidential election. He had to flee the country abruptly when he realized that state agents were looking for him.
Before becoming a motivational speaker, Kululu was involved in Christian missionary work in South Africa, Lesotho, and Botswana. He is multilingual, speaking fluent Zulu, Sesotho, Tswana, Luhya, Kikuyu, Kamba, Swahili, and English.
