On August 17, 2019, Kakamega County football team secured the KICOSCA games football title by defeating West Pokot 2-1 at the Kericho Green Stadium.

The match saw both teams create several scoring opportunities in the first half, with West Pokot breaking the deadlock in the 38th minute through Dhilon Mukenyang, who was assisted by George Madegwa.

Kakamega County put pressure on West Pokot after going down 0-1, with Wandiri Ken getting a good chance to level the scores in the 43rd minute after receiving a through pass from Ayora Sam. However, his shot was saved by West Pokot keeper Alex Lokerus.

Despite having more ball possession in the second half, West Pokot lost concentration after Kakamega County drew level in the 68th minute through Olaka David. Kakamega County then restored their lead in the 78th minute after Alfas Khaemba scored from 45 yards to seal the victory.
