The 2019 KCB Kenya National Rally Championship 4th round kicked off on a rainy Saturday at the KCB Kilifi Branch in Kilifi County.
Over 24 drivers are taking part in the eight-leg championship, with the premier class driver Onkar Singh Rai navigating by Gareth Dawe on the VW Polo R5 being the first to take the ramp.
According to the clerk-of-course Roy McKenzie, the running of some stages will be determined by the weather conditions, with rains pounding the route course for this year's rally.
McKenzie stated, "Rains have pounded the route course for this year's rally and we will be forced to tweak the itinerary in case rains persist."
The drivers started from the Mombasa Cement stage on Friday, and the Kilifi KCB KNRC round has been organized by the Mombasa Motor Club (MMC).
The 2019 KNRC has already visited Nakuru, Kajiado, and Naivasha, which hosted the WRC Candidate Safari Rally.
