Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has been hospitalized after suffering an episode of low blood pressure on August 16, barely a month after her release from prison.
According to her Instagram post, Sepetu fell ill right after launching a Swahili channel on Startimes.
She was admitted to a Tanzanian hospital and has been under a lot of pressure following her arrest and detention in November 2018, until she was released in July 2019.
During her court appearance on July 4, Sepetu was forced to go back behind bars after prosecutor Glory Mwenda claimed her witness did not show up.
However, her lawyer Alberto Msando announced through Instagram that Wema was released and her case thrown out.
She has since maintained a low profile since her release.
