The CECAFA U15 Championships have been reorganized into two groups with five teams each following the withdrawal of Djibouti earlier in the week.

Kenya's U15 national team will face Somalia in the opening match of the tournament on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 2pm (EAT) in Eritrea.

Initially, Kenya was pooled in Group A alongside Burundi, Somalia, and hosts Eritrea, but the reorganized draw has seen Group A comprise of Kenya, Sudan, Burundi, Somalia, and hosts Eritrea, while Group B now has Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and South Sudan.

The Junior Stars will next face Sudan in matchday 2 on Sunday, then Burundi on Tuesday next week before winding up their campaign against hosts Eritrea on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

The top two teams from each group will automatically qualify to the semis, set to be played on August 28, while the final has been scheduled for August 30, 2019, in Asmara.
