On August 8, 2019, a 16-year-old girl visited Randung' health centre in Rangwe Constituency for treatment, but her visit took a tragic turn.
According to the charge sheet, clinical officer Michael Otieno Odhiambo, who worked at the health centre, allegedly lured the minor to his house and defiled her.
Odhiambo was charged before Senior Resident Magistrate Tom Mark Olando on Wednesday and denied the allegations.
He was released on a Ksh.200,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount and the case is set to be heard on September 10, 2019.
