Manchester United's Alexis Sanchez has refused to leave the club this summer, despite rumors of a potential loan move to Roma.
According to the Sun, Sanchez has stalled on a move that would have seen him join the Italian club on loan, with the Red Devils hoping to remove a chunk of his wages from their bill.
Sanchez, 30, has just returned to training after an extended lay-off due to his involvement in the Copa America and is keen to leave Manchester United in search of regular football.
The Chilean international has scored just three goals in 32 United games and is reportedly keen to return to Serie A, where he enjoyed five successful years with Udinese before joining Barcelona for £30million in 2011.
Sanchez scored 12 Serie A goals in his final campaign with Udinese and is still respected in Italy, where the transfer window remains open until September 2.
