On August 14, 2019, Gatundu MP Moses Kuria sparked speculation about his future in the ruling Jubilee Party after sharing a logo on his Facebook handle that resembled an exit strategy.
The logo, which featured the slogan 'KAZI NA PESA!', seemed to suggest that Kuria was preparing to launch a new political outfit, the Transformational National Alliance.
However, this move was not without controversy, as Kuria had initially expressed interest in joining the Democratic Party (DP) in February 2019. He had urged Central Kenya leaders to join him, but a section of the DP party leadership led by Deputy Secretary-General Wambugu Nyamu reportedly opposed Kuria's move.
It remains to be seen whether Kuria will follow through with his plans to leave the Jubilee Party and join the Transformational National Alliance.
