Kenyan Socialite Saumu Mbuvi Opens Up About Toxic Relationship ¶
Kenyan socialite Saumu Mbuvi, daughter of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, has shared a harrowing tale of emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of her baby daddy, Ben Gatu, in 2017.
According to Saumu, her relationship with Ben was marred by constant harassment and abuse, which left her with severe mental health issues.
"I was 21 years old when I got into the relationship, and I was very vulnerable. I didn't have the maturity to understand that the relationship wouldn't end in marriage," Saumu revealed in an interview.
She further disclosed that she had to seek therapy to deal with the trauma she experienced during the relationship.
"I had to seek help from a therapist because I was struggling with anxiety and depression. I was in a dark place, and I didn't know how to get out," Saumu said.
Despite the challenges she faced, Saumu has since moved on and is now in a new relationship with Mwangi wa Iria Rachael Wanja's ex-boyfriend, Ben.
However, Saumu's story serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing the signs of emotional abuse and seeking help when needed.
