CAK Qualifies for Football Final, Faces KFS in Championship Match

On Thursday, 15 August 2019, the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) secured a spot in the Kenya Communications Sports Organisation (Kecoso) Games men's football final after defeating Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) 9-8 in a penalty shootout at Gusii Stadium.

The match had ended in a 2-2 draw in regulation time, with both teams creating equal scoring opportunities. CAK's goalkeeper, Joel Bataro, saved a crucial spot kick by Hamisi Kafani to send KPA packing.

CAK's Erick Lusala scored the opening goal in the fourth minute, but Duncan Otewa equalized for KPA in the 24th minute. KPA then took the lead in the 39th minute, but Brian Juma equalized for CAK in the 58th minute with a header from Felix Ouma's corner.

CAK will now face Kenya Ferries Authority (KFS) in the final, which is scheduled for Friday, 3pm at Gusii Stadium.
