Stivo Simple Boy, the 'Mihadarati' hitmaker, has responded to Ringtone's criticism of his gospel song 'I Lift You Higher', which was released on August 15, 2019.
Ringtone had blasted Simple Boy for doing a gospel song, saying, "There is this boy called Steve Simple Boy. If you're going to sing gospel…You start by declaring if you support the gospel, if you are born again."
Simple Boy, however, told Milele FM that he is not in a fight with Ringtone because he is an inspirational artiste. He explained that the song is about gratitude to God for the far He has brought him.
Ringtone had also asked gospel DJs not to play the song, saying, "We have no shortage of gospel artistes. Steve Simple Boy not on your playlist," but Simple Boy's fans have come out in support of him, praising him for killing Willy Paul's career.
