Frank Lampard's Blunt Words to Tammy Abraham After Penalty Miss

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has spoken candidly about his disappointment with Tammy Abraham's penalty miss in the UEFA Super Cup final against Liverpool.

Abraham's miss in the penalty shootout led to Liverpool winning the trophy, with Lampard saying he had spoken to the young striker about the incident.

"I told him not to worry, I've also missed penalties in the past," Lampard said.

The match ended 2-2 after extra time, with Sadio Mane scoring twice for Liverpool to seal the win.

Chelsea's Tammy Abraham had a chance to win the game for his team but his penalty was saved by Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian.

Abraham was visibly upset after missing the penalty, with his teammates trying to console him.

Despite the loss, Lampard praised his team's performance, saying they had given it their all.

"I'm proud of the players, they gave it their all and we can't ask for more," Lampard said.

The UEFA Super Cup final was played at the Vodafone Arena in Istanbul on August 14, 2019.
