Four years after their marriage ended, Pastor Kanyari has spoken out about his relationship with Betty Bayo, a popular gospel singer.
According to Kanyari, the couple's marriage failed not because of his scandalous past, but because they were immature and unable to understand each other.
Speaking to Word Is, Kanyari said, 'Betty was the best woman I have ever met but I think when we met we were both still childish, I was only 31 years old.'
He added that the couple's problems began when they were young and inexperienced, saying, 'Like when she wanted me to come home early, it was always a problem for me.'
When asked if he still loved Betty, Kanyari replied, 'You cannot force love to anyone. Na ukiachwa achika. I would say, if she loves me, I love her too but if she does not, then why should I force myself to her?'
