Published on August 15, 2019, Pastor James Ng'ang'a, a Neno Evangelism preacher, has spoken about his decision to marry his 'younger wife' Mercy Murugi.
Ng'ang'a made the 'critical decision' to marry Mercy after the death of his first wife, citing that he wanted a young and beautiful partner who could give him many children.
"When my first wife died, I was forced to make a very critical decision of getting married again. I married young Mercy, she is a daughter to one of my church members," Ng'ang'a said in an interview with Radio Jambo's Massawe Japanni.
Ng'ang'a, who got married to Mercy in 2012, revealed that he faced opposition from his church members before they got married, but he made his final decision and settled for her.
However, barely six months after their marriage, Mercy was fed with wrong information and even left the marriage for some time, citing that they tried to fight her and even brought witchcraft to their home.
Ng'ang'a explained that Mercy had been calling for meetings that older members failed to attend, which led to his infamous rant in a viral video where he warned bishops against disrespecting his wife.
"Akiitana mkutano hao pastors wakubwa wanasema hawawezi kukuja mkutano wa watoto. Ni mke mdogo lakini ni lazima apewe respect. Ni madharau," Ng'ang'a said.
Ng'ang'a also revealed that he wants to get seven more children with his wife, the couple has three children, with the youngest being six months old.
