On Wednesday, 14 August 2019, defending champions Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) bowed out of the Kenya Communications Sports Organisation (Kecoso) games after being held to a 0-0 draw by Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) at Gusii Stadium.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), coached by Wycliffe Anyangu, qualified for the semi-finals after topping group 'A' with five points from three matches. Kenya Ferries Services (KFS) also qualified from the same group with five points, while PCK was eliminated with four points.
Speaking after the match, Wycliffe Anyangu expressed his team's determination to win the title. 'I expect to win the tournament after the positive results we have recorded so far. I'm ready to meet any team in the semi-final and in the final,' he said.
However, Anyangu regretted the injuries to key players ahead of the knock-out stage. 'Last year we were eliminated in the semi-final but this time round we are well determined to claim the title,' he added.
By Tuesday, Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) and Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) from group 'B' had qualified for the semi-finals, while Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) was eliminated.
The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday at Gusii Stadium, with CAK facing KFS in the first match and KPA taking on KMA in the evening.
