On Thursday, the Sigona Golf Club will host the round of 16 in the Kenya Junior Match Play Championship, with Mutahi Kibugu, the top seed, facing Zayan Din in the first match of the day.
Kibugu, a handicap one player from Muthaiga Golf Club, earned a bye in the first round of match play after topping the list in the 36-hole Stroke Play qualifying rounds with scores of 73 and 75.
His opponent, Din, beat Chrispine Owuor 2-1 in the first round, setting up the highly anticipated match against Kibugu.
The winners of the round of 16 will advance to the quarter finals on Thursday afternoon, followed by the semis and final on Friday.
