On August 12, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Kwale county addressing the nation on International Youth Day. In a candid moment, he paused midway through his speech and turned to his video team and journalists, using some technical video editing terminologies to guide them on how to edit out the part where he stuttered.
"Aaakhaaa, mtacut na mtasnip, eeh? (You will cut and snip) so I can just read that paragraph again, eeh?" he said, shifting from English to Swahili to ensure his instructions were clear.
The video clip was later edited and shared by State House via its Twitter handle, showcasing the President's ability to laugh at himself and his willingness to adapt to unexpected situations.
Uhuru Kenyatta is not new to making humorous remarks or being caught on camera giggling or goofing. His ability to connect with his audience and show his human side has earned him a special place in the hearts of many Kenyans.
