Nigeria Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has made a surprise return to Heartland in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), eight years after leaving the team.
According to reports, Ezenwa signed a two-year deal with the Owerri-based club, marking his second stint with the team. In his first spell at Heartland, Ezenwa was part of the squad that played in the top division.
Before joining Heartland, Ezenwa played for Naze Millionaires for three years, having previously joined them from Ocean Boys in 2008.
