On August 14, 2019, a television exposé revealed that Victor Kanyari, a self-proclaimed miracle worker, had been performing fake miracles.
However, in a recent interview, Kanyari denied that the exposé was the main reason for his divorce from gospel singer Betty Bayo.
According to Kanyari, he and Bayo got married when they were immature and naive, and they were not strong enough to handle the pressures of marriage.
“Betty was the best woman I have ever met but I think when we met we were both still childish, I was only 31 years,” Kanyari told Word Is.
He added that they are now mature and able to decide what’s best for themselves.
When asked if he still loves Bayo, Kanyari said, “You cannot force love to anyone. Na ukiachwa achika. I would say, if she loves me, I love her too but if she does not, then why should I force myself to her?”
With Bayo set to wed in the near future, Kanyari said, “The time will come for me to move on and the whole world will know but for now no hurry in Africa. I will move on when I want, let me have my good time and continue serving God,”
