Kenyan radio personality and comedian Jalang'o has made a significant move in the music industry by launching his own record label, Heavy J Music.
As announced on social media, Jalang'o's new venture aims to support local talents and provide them with the platform they deserve.
"Kenya Music is going through a very interesting time, a time of growth and a time of prosperity, this is the time to give the artist what they deserve!" Jalang'o stated.
He further emphasized the need for a bigger voice to showcase talented artists, saying, "From the time I started working with Masauti I learnt that there are many artists out there who are talented but just lack support, they need a bigger voice to showcase what they have!! This is the opportunity!! The opportunity is @heavyjmusic the new and the latest music label in town!"
Heavy J Music is the latest addition to a growing number of record labels started by Kenyan celebrities, including Otile Brown's JustInLove Music records and Khaligraph Jones' BluInkCorp.
