On August 13, 2019, Dr. Sandra Lee, MD, a dermatologist and host of TLC's Dr. Pimple Popper, posted a new video on Instagram where she treats a patient with a dilated pore of Winer on his earlobe.
Initially, Dr. Lee refers to the pore as a blackhead, but upon closer inspection, she reclassifies it as a dilated pore of Winer due to its size.
Using her comedone extractor, Dr. Lee pokes at the spot and then presses down, releasing a clump of brown gunk from the patient's skin.
"We have a little blackhead here—actually, borderline...we call it a dilated pore of Winer because it's a big blackhead," Dr. Lee explains.
