Former President Robert Mugabe's household staff have been accused of stealing $150,000 from his rural home in Zvimba, near Harare, Zimbabwe.
According to reports, the theft allegedly occurred sometime between 1 December and early January, with the suspects using the stolen funds to purchase cars, homes, and livestock.
Constantia Mugabe, a relative of the former president, is among the accused, along with two cleaners who allegedly had access to the property through her.
One of the suspects, Johanne Mapurisa, reportedly bought a Toyota Camry and a house for $20,000, while another, Saymore Nhetekwa, purchased a Honda and livestock, including pigs and cattle, for an undisclosed amount.
Former President Mugabe, now 94, was forced out of office by Zimbabwe's military in 2017 and has spent months in Singapore for medical treatment.
