The 40th edition of the KECOSO Games in Kisii County has seen the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) team make significant strides in the snooker competition.

On Tuesday, the team of Rufus Hunjah, Henry Mwangi, and James Mbatia won their games, putting them in a strong position to claim the 2019 title.

Meanwhile, the KPA ladies basketball team suffered a disappointing 42-41 loss to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) in their opening match of the tournament.

The loss was a setback for KPA, who had set their sights on winning both the men's and women's titles.

However, the KBC team has continued to impress, with their scrabble team recording a clean sweep against the Communications Authority.

The two KBC players won all four of their matches, moving them closer to the title with a spread score of 5403 in group A.

They will take a rest on Wednesday before facing the Postal Corporation of Kenya on Thursday.

Elsewhere, the KBC ladies netball team is looking to register their first win of the tournament against KPA on Wednesday.

After a disappointing start, the team has been training hard to prepare for the challenge ahead.

Additionally, the KBC pool team is also in contention for the title, despite slipping in their first match due to new rules.

They have since dominated their game against the Ministry of Transport, taking a 7-4 lead in the first round of matches.
