On August 13, 2019, Harambee Stars defender David 'Cheche' Ochieng sealed a one-year deal with Saudi Arabian second division side Al Ansar.
Ochieng had been a free agent since being released by AFC Leopards at the end of the 2018/19 season, after his short contract expired.
He is expected to undergo a medical on Wednesday, August 14, having already penned a pre-contract with the side.
Al Ansar is not Ochieng's first experience in Saudi Arabia, where he made his professional debut with Al Taawon and was named the best defender of the year in his first season in the Saudi Arabian League.
Before joining AFC Leopards in March 2019, Ochieng had terminated his deal with Brommapojkarna of Sweden and also featured for New York Cosmos in the US.
He was part of Harambee Stars' contingent that was eliminated in the group stages of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ochieng has previously played for Tusker in the Kenyan Premier League and Nairobi City Stars, where he started his football career.
