On Tuesday night, the second batch of Team Kenya to the All Africa Games was flagged off by Sports Principal Secretary Ambassador Peter Kaberia, marking the beginning of their journey to Morocco.
Kenya's national boxing team, consisting of 12 players, 8 men, and 4 women, will be among the athletes representing the country in 22 different sporting activities, including Karate, swimming, and athletics.
The team features four debutants, including 26-year-old Shaffie Bakari Hassan and Elizabeth Andiego, alongside experienced athletes like current national heavyweight champion Eli Ajowi of Kenya Police and 2010 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Nick Okoth.
The athletes will join the National Taekwondo team, which was the first batch to leave the country on Monday night, and the Judo team, which will travel tonight.
The 12th edition of the All Africa Games is set to kick off on August 19th in Rabat, Morocco.
