On the second episode of East Africa Got Talent, Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee made a heartfelt revelation about her personal life.
Ms Mdee, who was impressed by a contestant named Mark Angachi, disclosed that she is clinically blind in one eye.
Despite her condition, Vanessa has not let it hold her back from chasing her dreams, and she urged Mark to do the same.
"It's unusual for someone so young to sing so soulfully, you can tell that you've been through stuff. I'm clinically blind in one eye as well, but that hasn't stopped me from pursuing my biggest dreams," she said.
Vanessa, who is one of the four judges in the competition, was speaking alongside Jeff Koinange, Gaetano Kagwa, and Rwandese DJ Makeda.
Mark, who discovered his singing talent at a young age, impressed all the judges with his soulful voice.
