On August 13, 2019, Kenyan comedian Shaniqwa addressed a fan's question about his sexual orientation during a live Instagram stream.
When asked if he was gay, Shaniqwa politely clarified his stance, saying, ' ‘I am not gay Bro I am straight. I have a wife,’ '
However, the comedian was not pleased when a fan criticized his teeth during the live session, warning the fan not to judge him until he had experienced parenthood.
Shaniqwa also took the opportunity to express his gratitude for his life, saying, ' I am happy the way I am. Don’t talk ill about people yet you have not given birth. God saw it fit for me to be this way and I am Ok. '
He further emphasized the importance of being thankful for what one has, rather than complaining about perceived shortcomings.
Shaniqwa also confessed to being a humble person, despite his public persona, stating, ' I am a very humble guy, I am the humblest person you can ever meet it’s just that the role Shaniqwa made people view me as talkative. '
When asked if he had ever been dumped due to financial issues, Shaniqwa humorously replied, ' Yes I have been dumped a few times. How could someone leave all this goodness? '
