Joe Mwangi's Troubles Deepen ¶
Kenyan talent manager Joe Mwangi has been at the center of a controversy surrounding his management of young gymnast Wendy Waeni. However, in a surprising twist, Mwangi has shifted the blame to Wendy's mother, Magdalene Syombua.
According to a recent appearance on the Chipukeezy show, Mwangi claimed that he is innocent and needs to clear his name urgently. He alleged that the problem started when he took away Wendy's phone.
During the show, Mwangi recalled a meeting with President Paul Kagame, who handed Magdalene a $5,000 grant to start a business. Mwangi claimed that he was given $100,000 from Magdalene, which he used to pay for Wendy's Form 1 fees.
However, Mwangi alleged that Magdalene spent the money on alcohol instead of paying for Wendy's school fees. He claimed that Wendy's last performance was over two years ago, making it impossible for him to have exploited her.
Wendy's mother, Magdalene Syombua, has been accused of being a drunkard by Mwangi. He claimed that she spent the money meant for Wendy's Form 1 fees on alcohol.
The case is currently in court, with further investigations underway. Mwangi has promised to share his side of the story and provide evidence to clear his name.
