Missing Tycoon Tob Cohen's Wife Claims He Was Mentally Disturbed ¶
On July 19, Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen went missing after filing a divorce case with his Kenyan wife, Sarah Kamotho.
During an interrogation, Sarah Kamotho told police that her husband had a tendency of going missing from home for days, only to reappear after staying away for almost two weeks.
Police investigating the matter interviewed workers at Cohen's home in Lower Kabete, where they discovered that the businessman had dismantled CCTV cameras before he went missing.
Efforts to retrieve CCTV footage hit a dead end after the workers disclosed that the cameras at the gate were replaced in August 3, two weeks after Cohen left home.
According to a police source, Sarah Kamotho was very composed during the interrogation and told them that Cohen at times disappears only to resurface after two weeks.
Police have now been left with the option of reviewing nearby CCTV cameras to gather evidence in relation to how Cohen left his home.
On July 20, Cohen's phone went off near Parklands, and police have been focusing on his phone data to determine his whereabouts.
His sister, Gabriela Cohen, revealed that she was in constant communication with her brother until July 19 before his phone went off.
She said she spoke to Cohen on the day he disappeared and did not indicate that he was ailing and would travel.
“We spoke twice that day and he did not tell me he was leaving. For several months, we had agreed that we would be talking daily because he was living in fear of his life,” Gabriela said.
