Published on August 13, 2019, Joe Mwangi has responded to allegations that he conned Wendy Waeni and her mother out of the proceeds from her social media page.
According to Mwangi, he attempted to help Wendy's mother set up a business with a donation of half a million shillings from President Kagame, who Wendy had performed for in Rwanda.
However, Mwangi claims that Wendy's mother, who he alleges is an alcoholic, misused the funds he had given her.
Mwangi went on to claim that he had to intervene to get Wendy into school, texting President Uhuru at midnight and having CS Matiang'i pay the school fees of 53,000 shillings.
Wendy's mother had allegedly told her that she didn't have money to take her to school, prompting Mwangi to accuse her of misusing the funds.
It is worth noting that Wendy has not performed in two years, and as an artist, she only gets paid when she performs.
