Kenyan Gospel Singer Jimmy Gait Undergoes Surgery in India

Published on August 13, 2019, Kenyan gospel singer Jimmy Gait has traveled to India for specialized treatment after battling a mysterious condition for three months.

According to Gait, he has been in and out of hospitals for the past three months, seeking medication for an undisclosed ailment.

"For three months I have been inactive on social media prompting people to ask about my whereabouts, I have been to several hospitals seeking medication for undisclosed ailment hence my absence from the limelight," Gait said.

He will undergo a throat operation in India, which is expected to last between 15 to 20 days. Gait has expressed his concerns about his music career, as doctors have advised him against singing until he is cured.

"I have never been to surgery. That [it will be] on my greatest asset makes me worry more. Let us not be negative," Gait said.
