Sebastien Migne, the French coach of Harambee Stars, has been fired by FKF Kenya after a mutual agreement. The news comes just a few days after the team was eliminated from the CHAN 2020 tournament by Tanzania in the first round.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Tanzania winning the penalty shootout 4-2.
Migne had been in charge of the team since May last year, when he was appointed for a three-year contract. He replaced Paul Put, who resigned due to personal reasons in February.
Before joining Harambee Stars, Migne had coached Congo Brazzaville for two months after being fired by the Red Devils in 2018.
Under Migne's leadership, Harambee Stars participated in the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt, where they finished third in their group behind Senegal and Algeria.
FKF Kenya announced the decision to part ways with Migne through a statement, which read: "Shirikisho la soka Kenya na kocha mkuu wa Harambee Stars, Sebastien Migne wamekubaliana kutamatisha mkataba na kocha huyo kwa kuelewana. Tunamtakia kocha huyo kila la heri maishani."
