Actresses in the entertainment industry often face demands for sex from producers and directors, according to Nyce Wanjeri, a former actress in the popular series Auntie Boss.

Wanjeri, who won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2018, spoke out about the challenges faced by young actresses seeking to pursue their dreams in acting.

She alleged that some producers and directors use emotional manipulation to pressure young actresses into accepting their advances, saying 'Kama hunipei, lenga. Kuna madem wengi huko nje wako ready kupanua mguu.'

Wanjeri emphasized that she had never experienced such advances herself, as she had set clear boundaries from the start of her career.

She also highlighted the high expectations placed on celebrities by the public, which can be overwhelming and lead to feelings of pressure and stress.

Wanjeri's comments come as a warning to young actresses entering the industry, and highlight the need for greater awareness and support for those who may be facing similar challenges.
