On August 12, 2019, Chief Kadhi Ahmed Muhdhar delivered a message of unity and peace during the Eid ul Adha prayers in Mombasa. He urged Kenyans to support the government's efforts to combat terror gangs and drug cartels, which he described as a threat to the country's economic development.
Speaking at the Ronald Ngala School open grounds, Chief Kadhi emphasized the importance of security agencies taking action against terror gangs that have been tormenting residents, particularly in the coastal region.
Leaders present at the event attributed the problem of insecurity to increased drug trafficking in the region. They called on Muslim communities to be ambassadors of peace and co-exist harmoniously in the country.
Across the country, Muslims gathered for special Eid al Adha prayers, reflecting on the need to embrace unity, love, and peace, regardless of their religious backgrounds.
