The Nakuru-Naivasha highway was closed on Monday after a fuel tanker developed a spillage near Pipeline area in Nakuru.

Nakuru East OCPD Ellena Kabukuru confirmed the incident, stating that an alternative route had been established for commuters along the busy highway.

Police and experts were deployed to control and contain the situation, with Kabukuru warning residents against attempting to siphon the fuel to avoid a tragedy similar to one witnessed in Tanzania recently.
