Boda Boda Rider Murdered in Migori

On August 12, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Migori County, where a bodaboda rider lost his life in a brutal attack.

A group of four bodaboda operators, including the deceased Michael Odhiambo, Daniel Simbo, Victor Gwendo, and Stephen Ochieng, were pursuing two suspected thugs in the early hours of the morning.

According to Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge, the group had cornered the suspects when one of them stabbed Michael Odhiambo in the left side of his chest.

The police boss added that a motorcycle number plate KMEM 598S was recovered together with a hammer and pliers abandoned by the suspects who managed to escape.

The body of the deceased was moved to Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.

Mr. Nthenge said, 'The four boda boda operators had just cornered the two suspects when one of them stabbed Michael Odhiambo.'
