SDA Church Leadership Denies Wrongdoing in Nairobi Church Closure ¶
The Seventh Day Adventist Church has denied any wrongdoing in the closure of the Nairobi Central SDA Church, also known as Maxwel SDA, following a series of disruptions.
According to Pastor Jeremy Marambi, the church's leadership, the disruptions were caused by a splinter group that had left the church and formed its own faction.
"Individuals who have been causing mayhem in the church are those that had left the church and formed a splinter group," Pastor Marambi stated during a press briefing.
He further maintained that this defective faction was the one that had been excommunicated from the church.
The church has been experiencing leadership wrangles that have resulted in the disruption of services since July 20th.
On Saturday, GSU officers prevented worshipers from entering the church, prompting members to conduct their services in the neighbouring St. George's School.
