On Sunday, a goalless draw between Wolves and Leicester at the King Power Stadium was marred by controversy after a Wolves goal was ruled out by VAR.
Wolves skipper Conor Coady was left fuming after the decision, which was made after a 98-second delay following a VAR review.
Referee Andre Marriner initially gave the goal, but then overruled his decision after consulting VAR, citing that defender Willy Boly had unintentionally handled the ball in an aerial challenge before Leander Dendoncker shot in.
Coady, 26, expressed his frustration with the decision, saying: "It is a goal. People will say they have VAR and it has hit his hand but Boly is not looking at the ball. We are going to have to play with our hands chopped off in future."
He added: "If that is not a goal there is a problem. No-one appealed for it. Common sense is Boly is not looking at the ball and not put his hand in the way to knock it down for himself and then shoot."
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo also reflected on the VAR ruling, saying: “It is not the mindset of the game. We cannot celebrate a decision if you know what I mean. And what concerns me is the tempo. The time that we stay in this silence, I don’t like it.”
