On August 11, 2019, Man United's new signing Daniel James made a dream start to his Premier League career, scoring just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute in the Red Devils' 4-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford.
James, who joined United in a £15million deal from Swansea City, dedicated his goal to his late father, who had passed away just days before his dream move to Old Trafford.
"It would have been amazing for him to be here today, but he's not, and I dedicate that goal to him," James said in a moving interview shortly after the match.
James' goal added to Marcus Rashford's sensational brace and Anthony Martial's clinical finish in the 65th minute, securing a convincing win for the Red Devils.
It now remains to be seen if James' cameo appearance will convince manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to hand him a starting role in United's next game against Wolves.
