On August 10th, 2019, the Ford Amphitheater in New York hosted the New York edition of the annual One Africa Music Fest, featuring thrilling performances from Africa's top musicians.
Among the electrifying performances was Tanzanian King Pin Diamond Platnumz, who left the crowd singing along to the Swahili lyrics of all his songs.
Uganda's Award Winning star Eddy Kenzo represented East Africa to the fullest with great energy on stage and extraordinary dance moves.
The event brought together more than 20 artistes from the entire continent, including Wyclef Jean, Burna Boy, 2Face, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Afro B, Casanova, Teni, Eddy Kenzo, Kranium, Rotimi, Diamond Platnumz, Jay Prayzah, and Zlatan.
Banky Wellington aka Banky W emceed the event, while East African young King and WCB Signee Harmonize was unfortunately unable to attend due to a delayed US VISA.
Following the New York event, the One Africa Music Fest will move to London at the “The SSE ARENA, WEMBLY” on August 24th, where Kenya's Akothee, Nandy, and Vanessa Mdee are scheduled to perform.
The Festival will climax in Dubai come November 15th, 2019.
Meanwhile, WCB President Chibu Dangote had another show in Minnesota that was full to capacity over the weekend.
His US-based promoter DMK Global took to social media to share footage from the show, thanking residents of Minnesota for turning up in large numbers to have a good time.
DMK Global wrote, “One Thing I tell You For Sure I never lost Money With this Mother Fucker Thank you Minnesota @diamondplatnumz #MusicIsLife #WeGlobal”.
