On Tuesday, 15th January, 2019, a suspected terror attack occurred at the Dusit Complex in Nairobi, Kenya.
A group of armed assailants attacked the complex at approximately 3pm, prompting an immediate response from security and emergency forces.
The area has been cordoned off, and residents are being screened and evacuated.
Armed criminals are reportedly holding up in the hotel, and specialist forces are working to flush them out.
Unfortunately, there have been injuries in the attack, and the police are in the process of confirming the numbers and types of injuries incurred.
Despite the incident, reports from throughout the country indicate that everything remains calm and normal.
Inspector General Joseph Boinnet of the National Police Service urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with security forces, providing any useful information to aid in the investigation.
