On Saturday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) made a significant arrest in Bomet County. The suspect, identified as Bernard Ng'etich, was apprehended following a tip-off from members of the public.
According to the DCI, Ng'etich allegedly committed the heinous crime on Wednesday at Chebunyo area in Bomet. He is accused of raping a 25-year-old woman before stabbing her multiple times in her private parts using a Somali sword.
The victim was rushed to the hospital by members of the public who found her bleeding profusely. Fortunately, she is currently in a stable condition.
The suspect will be arraigned in court this week to face charges, including rape.
