On a fateful day in August 2019, Mohamed Salah's kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of two young Liverpool fans.
Eleven-year-old Louis Fowler and his 10-year-old brother Isaac were ecstatic to catch a glimpse of their hero, Salah, outside the team's Melwood training ground.
However, in their excitement, Louis failed to notice a lamppost and collided with it headfirst, knocking himself unconscious.
Salah, who had scored his first goal of the season in Liverpool's 4-1 win over Norwich City the night before, spotted the boy and turned his car around to check on him.
He then headed to Louis' home to ensure he was okay, leaving a lasting impression on the young fan and his family.
"We live just opposite Melwood and the two boys have been spending their holidays trying to get pictures of their heroes," Louis' stepdad Joe Cooper told the Liverpool Echo.
"Mo Salah was one of the last ones to come out and the boys were waving at him in a bid to catch his attention. Unfortunately Louis went straight into a lamppost while running after the car and busted his nose when he hit the floor," Joe added.
Salah's kind gesture not only comforted Louis but also earned him the admiration of his family and the community.
