Published on August 11, 2019, Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix made a statement in the International Champions Cup, scoring two goals to lead his team to a 2-1 win over Juventus at the Friends Arena on Saturday.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese superstar, was in attendance, it was Felix who stole the show, opening the scoring with a first-time finish midway through the first half. The 20-year-old's goal was a testament to his growing skills and potential as a top player in the sport.

Despite being a record signing, Joao Felix has already made a significant impact on the team, and his performance against Juventus was a highlight of the match. The Spanish side's victory marked a strong start to their season, and they will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming La Liga campaign.

Meanwhile, Juventus forward Paulo Dybala played for the last half hour, but coach Maurizio Sarri remained tight-lipped about his future at the club. The Italian champions will begin their Serie A season on August 24 against Parma.

Coach Maurizio Sarri has a tough decision to make as he looks to trim his Champions League squad to meet UEFA size requirements. He will have to leave out at least six players, a situation that he described as 'difficult, almost embarrassing'.

“I can talk about Paulo all I like, but the market goes in a certain way and then whatever I say counts for nothing,” Sarri told reporters. “I think he has the right characteristics to play as a false centre forward. But in any case, we have to cut six players from the Champions League list. Our situation is difficult, almost embarrassing, because we run the risk of leaving out players of a really high level. It’s a situation we have to resolve and it is not just about the decisions made by coach or club.”
