Uhuru Mourns Former Nyaribari Masaba MP Dr Hezron Manduku

On August 11, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta sent a message of condolence to the family, friends, and relatives of former Nyaribari Masaba MP Dr Hezron Manduku, who passed away the previous night at a Nairobi hospital.

Dr Manduku, a professional medical surgeon, had a long and distinguished career in the health sector, serving Kenyans with commitment and devotion for many years.

"It is with a heavy heart that I have this morning received the sad news of the passing away of former Nyaribari Masaba MP Dr Hezron Manduku," said President Kenyatta. "May God the Almighty give his family and friends the fortitude to bear with the loss," he added.

Dr Manduku used his profession and skills as a medical doctor to give service to all Kenyans, irrespective of their political and social backgrounds, serving them wholeheartedly wherever he was posted.

Before joining politics, Dr Manduku worked at Kenyatta National Hospital and Kakamega Provincial Hospital. He also established Hema Hospital, a private medical facility in Kisii town, and served as Kenya's assistant minister for Foreign Affairs between 1993 and 1997.
